Alva

Self-closing patch fitting in a class of its own

Complete your all-glass swing door opening with Alva patch fittings

Bohle is proud to present our newest series of Alva self-closing hydraulic patch fitting that includes an improved base plate design. Now featured as a core component of Alva Elevations, an innovative swing door and partition hardware program that makes it simple to glaze the entire opening. These openings can be ordered using a single article number, come with all hardware included, and can be constructed as single doors, doors with side-lites, and a combination of doors with transoms.

Traditional overhead closers with bulky headers can be replaced with simple closing patch systems designed for EN1, EN3 and EN5 opening force.

Use our catalog to explore our range of partition channels, ladder pull handles, glass door locks, and glazing tapes.

Improved installation

By means of newly design and patented thrust / base plate, the closer is securely fastened to the substrate with only two - instead of four – screws. This innovation reduces both labor and drilling costs and reduces the risk of accidental tile or substrate damage.

The stand off distance from the wall to the first drill hole is 1-1/8”, allowing enough space for a rotary hammer drilling machine to be drilled parallel and straight.

Adjustable base plate design

The patented base-plate design is a game-changer. With the help of four adjustment screws, the final door positioning can be perfectly set. The fine adjustment of the vertical alignment and the zero position up to +/- 1/8“ or  +/- 3° is possible. The distance to the wall, i.e. the horizontal alignment, can also be easily adjusted by +/- 1/8“ using a fifth set screw.

Select Your Elevation

Bohle has made the selection process simple and easy to complete your unique door opening. These openings can be ordered using a single article number, come with all hardware included, and can be constructed as single doors, doors with side-lites, and a combination of doors with transoms.
