2006 The company re-structures its organisation, becoming better equipped for further growth. 2005 The subsidiary Bohle Scandinavia AB is established in Stockholm, Sweden. In the same year, Bohle Clearshield B.V begins operation as a foreign subsidiary of Bohle Clearshield GmbH. The product division ArtGlass is turned over to the company TGK. 2004 After renovation and new construction at headquarters in Germany, administrative services move into more spacious offices. In addition, a modern logistics centre with high rack warehouse is erected. The construction of a large, new production hall immensely expands the capacity of the Torgau subsidiary. The Austrian subsidiary relocates into larger offices with separate exhibition space and seminar rooms. Bohle Ltd., England, relocates into new administrative offices and warehouse in Dukinfield near Manchester. The subsidiaries in South Africa and Spain expand their warehouse and office space. In Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia, Bohle establishes two new subsidiaries. 2003 In Moscow Bohle opens the first representative office. Bohle Clearshield GmbH is founded as a joint venture with the English company RITEC Ltd., manufacturer of surface protection systems for glass. 2002 The company establishes two new subsidiaries abroad: Bohle Glass Equipment (Pty) Ltd. in South Africa and Bohle-Andres ÖU, Estonia. 2001 Bohle changes its legal business form to a shareholder’s company. 1996 Bohle takes over the company Berlyne Bailey & Co. Ltd, England, and changes the name to Bohle Ltd. 1995 Diversification and development of the business sector „ArtGlass“ by the take-over of the company EDDI American Glass. The Torgau subsidiary becomes the production site for machinery and equipment for glass processing. 1994 The Bohle Ges. mbH located in Vienna is established as the Austrian subsidiary. Bohle Italia s.r.l., Milan, is established after the take-over of the company Caprioglio. In Spain Bohle becomes major shareholder of Maquimetal with locations in Barcelona and Madrid. 1993 The company acquires additional industrial real property comprising 30,000 m² in Haan, Germany. 1992 Bohle takes over the company Smit-Tools, Netherlands, and changes the name to Bohle Benelux B.V. The new subsidiary is responsible for the markets in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. 1991 Bohle takes over the majority of the English company Berlyne Bailey & Co. Ltd. 1988 The first foreign subsidiary is created in the Netherlands by a share in the company Smit-Tools. 1970 The capacities in Solingen, Germany are exhausted. Therefore it is decided to build a new location in Haan. 1950 - 1960 The company keeps growing. Three new production halls attest to this expansion. Cutting wheels made of carbide are introduced and production of suction lifters under the brand name Veribor begins. 1948 The company marks 25 years of success. 1936 The trademarks "Silberschnitt“ and "Veribor“ are registered. 1933 The first Bohle glass cutter appears on the market under the name IBOR (Josef Bohle Ohligs Rhineland). 1930 After a successful start, the company founder invests in his first own production shop in Solingen-Ohligs. 1923 Josef Bohle founds the company in Solingen, Germany as a production workshop for cutting wheels for glass processing.
